Evolvi - The corporate rail specialist

How API integration is transforming the customer experience

A significant trend in corporate travel is the development by TMCs and third-party developers of holistic travel portals that integrate multimodal content - and Evolvi's UK rail API is specified in many such solutions that serve up all travel options via a common user interface.

And this area of growth isn't just for UK customers - Evolvi is seeing strong demand from traffic inbound to the UK.

"The Evolvi API is increasingly being embedded within third party customer-facing online booking systems, underlining the growing trend among TMCs and corporates to treat UK rail spend with the same degree of focus as every other element of significant travel spend, such as hotel and air travel," said Andrew Cantrell, Evolvi Managing Director.

"We are also looking at projects that push the boundaries of transportation connectivity. Fore exampe, PlusBus, which offers discounted, unlimited bus and tram travel, is already integrated into Evolvi but in the future I can see our API being part of systems that enables easy access to every mode of transport, whether public, private, shared or autonomous, in line with growing interest in the concept of Mobility as a Service."
